We present three short films that tell the stories of Puerto Rican communities and their cultural advocacy efforts. Bomba Ancestral, directed by filmmaker Eli Jacobs Fantauzzi, honors the ancestors from whom we inherit this beautiful dance, the Bomba. Metamorfosis, created by youth from the town of Orocovis, narrates the resilience of a community transforming an abandoned school into a community center. Tito Matos: Ahora Sí, directed by Noelia Quintero, tells the life story and legacy of Tito Matos, a prominent plenero and cultural advocate. Following the screenings, we will have a conversation with the audience. Join us for this dialogue and learn more about our Asociación de Documentalista de Puerto Rico.
