We arrive at Pa’ Lante Theater in Waterbury, CT, to present Simulacros de Liberación, an untold part of the story concerning the wave of Puerto Rican protests from 2016-2019, culminating in the resignation of Governor Ricardo Rosselló. Directed by filmmaker Juan C. Dávila, this documentary presents a story of the archipelago's struggle for survival and resistance against austerity. Join us for a collective reflection on the present and future of Puerto Rico, and learn more about our Asociación and documentary cinema on the island in general.
